Project

Kenanga Wholesale City

Jalan Merlimau, Kuala Lumpur

Overview

A mall located in Pudu in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Kenanga Wholesale City is 17-storeys high with approximately 500,000 sf of nett lettable space predominantly for the wholesale fashion trade. It also has a multi-purpose hall located on the 15th floor which can host events and concerts. The whole complex sits on highly weathered limestone bedrock with most of the bored piles penetrating through multi-layer cavities before a thick firm solid rock layer can be found. Piles with 8 m separation socketed into the rock did not find any bedrock even up to a depth of 80m, therefore this pile was designed as a skin friction pile.
