The MRT Depot at Serdang houses the central maintenance train overhaul facility for trains serving on the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line. With a variety of workshops for maintenance and administrative facilities, the depot is set to be one of the major depots for MRT lines.

The following are the buildings and facilities constructed in the depot:

• 2-storey main store, rolling stock workshop and maintenance shed
• 1-storey infrastructure maintenance workshop and loco shed
• 3-storey administration office
• 1-storey covered electric train stabling area and associated overhead walkway
• 1-storey train wash plant
• 1-storey underfloor wheel lathe
• 1-storey dangerous goods store
• 1-storey guard house
• 1-storey bin centre
• 1-storey TPSS
• 1-storey diesel storage tank
• 1-storey diesel refueling apron
• 1-storey hardstand/lay down area
• 1-storey sprinkler tank, hose reel tank and pump room
• 1-storey hydrant water tank and pump room
• 1-storey depot signalling equipment room
